HAPPY 7th Birthday!
Sunday, October 13, 2002 marked the 7th Anniversary of the Opening of Skydive Kansas. Much has changed since that first load took off at Pomona Lyndon Airport: we now enjoy a toilet that works even when it rains. We have excellent facilities at Osage, padded and carpeted packing area, well-maintained FLAT paved runway, two Cessnas now with better climb capabilities, full service student training... But over 16,000 jumps later, even some things remain the same: Jen still rearranges the furniture; the TWA orange couch remains; and for one day, Sunday, the PRICE of licensed jumps came back: $13. Fortunately the wind stayed light and the temperatures mild for the 12 loads.
