2003 Events being planned!
Even though it's 10 degrees out and we're sifting through SNOW, we're looking ahead to the season and planning our annual events. In addition to the Retrain & Safety Day, Skydive Kansas will be hosting the Seventh Annual Memorial Day Pig Roast during Memorial Weekend, May 24, 25, and 26th. On Sunday, there will be no student jumps and both planes will be dedicated to large ways. Plans for adding planes to our fleet for the day are a possibility. For all three days, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, all DZ Dollars can be cashed in at DOUBLE their value! So jump a lot now and save some serious money that weekend!
Also on the agenda, the Full "Strawberry" Moon on Saturday, June 14th will call for night jumping. The requirements for participation are: familiarity with the dz; current in jumps and equipment; B license equivalent; purchase your own night sticks; sign up in advance with manifest. Weekday jumps may be possible this summer if enough interest is shown. One weekday jump already a "go" is Friday, July 4th, when jumping in the afternoon will be open to all, and the Annual Osage City Demo into the Fireworks will occur in the evening. Live (wet) Water Training is also in the works sometime this summer... location will be same as last year and date is pending (we'll take a poll for choice of date), but if you are interested, see manifest.
