Canopy Information Available - Canopy Course October
Brian Germain has just updated his Canopy Wingloading and Downsizing Recommendations.  This document has a TON of information, not just a chart.  Check it out: Canopy Chart June 2006

In addition, Skydive Kansas is hosting Canopy Course:
Who:
Anyone interested in gaining knowledge
What: Brian Germain Canopy Course
When: October 20-22. Friday start time is 6:30pm. Saturday and Sunday will be around 8 or 9 depending on the weather.
Where: Skydive Kansas in Osage City
Why: To learn more about canopy characteristics and flight.
Cost: The class costs $175 per student. If you would like to qualify for the $175 fee we will require a $50 non-refundable deposit postmarked by 9-1-06. This will mean the remaining balance due at the class is $125. If you miss the registration deadline you can still take the class but it will cost $200. So sign up early, limited seats available. These fees do not include your jump tickets.

Feel free to bring your tents and stay out at the DZ. If not you can make the trip over to Topeka (30 minutes) for hotels.

Please refer to upjumper policy to make sure you are within the wingloading limits allowed at Skydive Kansas.  Hook turns are not allowed.

Please make your deposit (or the entire amount now if you like) check payable to Jeremy Struemph. You can either give it to me at the DZ or send it to:
Jeremy Struemph
2406 Alabama St.
14-B
Lawrence, KS 66046
This means $125 will be due the day of the class (cash preferred.)

Also bring on video tape 3 to 5 (or more) of you landing your canopy.  Most of the course in one the ground, as Brian remarked he affords time for 1 to 3 jumps per participant during the course.
