10th Annual Memorial Day Pig Roast May 27 - 29, 2006
The weekend of May 27 - 29th is Memorial Weekend, our 10th Annual Pig Roast! The "big" day is Sunday, May 28th, although we'll also be jumping Saturday the 27th and Monday the 29th. Our friends from Wichita (Air Capital Dropzone) will be here, so plan to do some 8 ways. We'll have our barbeque as usual, featuring Rick's AWESOME cooking: brisket, ribs, chicken, but NO GOATS! Plus some games for the air: skydive poker, accuracy contest, and more... And games for the ground: a Velcro Wall and a Moon Walk for the kids! We also will have the local band "On in Three" playing live for us again. Spectators are welcome, so bring your friends, family, a side dish, and your need to hurl a planet at yourself!

Friday we had several jumps, but the weekend proved to be difficult. Saturday, winds stopped most jumping, as well as on Sunday. Monday morning, the first load took off at 5:30am, with tolerable ground winds finally, although uppers caused half the jumpers from several loads to land off. After storms moved in, everyone went home, but with good memories of awesome food, great fun with moonwalk and velcro wall, lots of conversation and sharpie markers, hot showers, and wishing for jumping.
