Float wins $100 second place prize in Osage City Christmas Parade!
Despite a 37 degree spitting rain, Skydive Kansas had a float in the Osage City Christmas Parade Saturday, November 29th, and won second place! The prize was $100 cash, which was immediately spent at El Mezcal after the parade! Narrowly beating out a flat bed full of cranky Girl Scouts, the Skydive Kansas float featured skydivers pulling Santa's sleigh, which is how we think it REALLY happens. First place was RCIL who actually went with the "O Christmas Tree" theme. Fourth place was a truck load of people with no decoration. Although there were only four entries, the prize was just as coveted, and Skydive Kansas was proud to be a part of a fun community event!

Santa (Bill Hubbell) gives candy and mini frisbees to the crowd as Jack the Elf (John Sharp) helps.

Skydivers who "pull" Santa's sleigh: Susan, Matt, Emily, Jen (not pictured) and Rudolph played by Janelle. In the bed throwing candy and spreading joy were Crowder, Toni and Laura. Turk drove the truck and had the heater going full blast.

Santa takes a smoke break, a rare sight. Okay, so he's not the REAL Santa, just Bill helping out for the parade.
