Total Skydives Served: 20,000 ; milestone reached on our 9th birthday!

Now the total number of skydives made at Skydive Kansas surpasses 20,000 jumps!  Bill Hubbell made jump number 20,000, unaware that his hop & pop was the milestone jump until after he landed.  The jump took place October 9th, the weekend we celebrated the 9th birthday of the dropzone.  Skydive Kansas first called "DOOR" on Sunday, October 8, 1995.  Since then, people from virtually every county in Kansas have made a skydive with us.  In addition, we've had customers from Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Hawaii, North Carolina, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.  Also remarkably, visitors from foreign countries have included those from Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, England, Germany, Guam, Norway, Puerto Rico.

In celebration of the event, Jen made 3 kinds of chili: "Sweet Sitfly" (Combine's special brown sugar recipe), "Spaceball" (a standard but garlic/sausage chili), and "Head Down" (yes it was SPICY with jalapeños and fresh chili peppers). Evidently the chili was a hit: it was gobbled up quickly and made for some interesting smelling loads. Janelle and John made the birthday cake and Larraine contributed with potatoes and "goo" desert.
